Office Administrator-Part Time
Description
The Office Administrator at Applied Marine Solutions is the focal
point for all company routine business and technical requirements.
This part time position offers a challenging and rewarding environment
in communications, leadership, management, and technology. Reports to
the President. Duties include:
1. Office Manager: Performs routine activities customary of an office
manager such as originate correspondence and reports, respond to
clients, maintain databases, interface with contractors and
subcontractors, accounting, bill paying, invoicing, answer telephone,
mail and ship material, and other secretarial functions.
2. Communications and Marketing. Manages incoming and outgoing
communications. Develop ad material and develop graphics to support
advertisement. Prepare and transmit press releases, develop quarterly
newsletter, etc
3. Bookkeeper: Maintain company financial records and books, send and
receive client invoices. Work with CPA to provide requested data in
legible format and other duties.
4. Technology: Suggests and uses automation techniques for improved
efficiency. Maintains and enforces computer security program. Fluent
in electronic mail accounts. Maintains inventory of computer and
office equipment and supplies.
5. Webmaster: Maintains company website in a dynamic fashion by
publishing current and relevant information. Updates routinely and
performs maintenance functions.
Requirements
Job Requirements
1. A.A.S. or BA/BS degree. Business Administration preferable.
2. At least 5 yrs supervisory experience in similar working
environments.
3. Excellent command of Microsoft Office applications including MS
Word and Excel, desktop publishing, Quickbooks, Photoshop, and other
software applications.
4. Ability to create correspondence such as business letters,
newsletters, prepare and maintain comprehensive records and reports,
read and interpret operating and maintenance instructions.
5. Communicate effectively with co-workers, clients, and visitors.
6. A U.S. government security clearance may be required.
